Due to the storm overnight, Effie May Crossing has 100-feet long, two-feet deep, of debri (mostly plastic) that came down Smuggler’s Channel and has filled up part of the road leading from the river to the staging area. The condition of the trailhead at Cathedral is good, but access to it is only from the south side of the river or by riding west from the staging area, and crossing south close to lower Wycliff Trail riding toward Cathedral Trail. The debri filled road could remain impassable for the rest of the rainy season depending whether San Diego City Goverment decides to clear it. (Post modified on Nov 15.)
